New Building. New Home.
The current and future members of Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry in Harrisonburg, Virginia, were given the opportunity to design and construct a new home for our ministry. To grow and thrive in our new building, we needed to fill the new Canterbury House with a little more than just the Love of God.
Our new Canterbury House has a designated worship space—overwhelmingly the feature of the house we’re most excited for. We also (finally) have a larger kitchen that meets ADA requirements so that everyone can use it—as well as a large dining room fit to accommodate the projected growth of the ministry. Canterbury is our “home away from home,” so comfort is priority #1. Our gathering room and study “cave” (as we like to call it), is designed for both comfort and functionality. And it’s that functionality we feel is critical to our mission, as other members of our community can use this space for their own gatherings and meetings.
